PlayStation 3 advert appears in Xbox 360 game (UEFA Champions League 2006-2007)

Earlier this month EA announced plans to release a football game based on the UEFA Champions League event, also releasing some screenshot-style renders to accompany the announcement, one of which partially revealed a PlayStation 3 ad in the background.

'Euro 2008 is best ever FIFA' (UEFA Euro 2008)

EA has high hopes for new release UEFA Euro 2008, labelling it the best football title the company has produced in 15 years.

The licensed football franchise hits shelves today (April 18th) and despite England's abysmal failure to qualify for the real tournament, EA is confident that the quality of the title and the chance to take an in-game England through to Euro 2008 will ensure another sales success.

Speaking to MCV the title's producer Simon Humber confidently revealed EA's high expectations for the game, despite none of the home nations reaching the Euro 2008 finals this year.

The brand new set of UEFA Euro 2008 achievements have been revealed over at x360a and it's a interesting set for an EA title.

The game will have 48 achievements totaling 1000 points and it appears EA have put more thought in this to this one. There does appear to be some really annoying "Seed" achievements... So don't get good too quickly.

IGN is proud to officially announce Sugar Rashad Evans will be featured as a playable character in THQ's upcoming MMA title, UFC 2009 Undisputed.

"I think it's an honor," Evans said of his inclusion in the upcoming title. "I never thought I'd be in a videogame, and I'm happy about that. To be a part of the whole organization and to be a part of the videogame, that's my immortality right there. I may die next year, or in the next couple of days or whatever, but I'll always be in that videogame."

Edge writes: "The mixed martial arts world was shaken up this week when UFC president Dana White ejected former welterweight title challenger Jon Fitch and other UFC fighters from the organization, reportedly for refusing to sign a deal related to THQ's upcoming UFC 2009 Undisputed videogame.

But after one day, Fitch and fellow fighters Christian Wellisch, Josh Koscheck and Cain Velasquez all agreed to sign the deal and were reinstated.

Fitch gave Edge more background on the situation in a phone interview Friday: "Mostly, it didn't really have anything to do with the game, it was more or less the way that Dana brought [the contract] to us. It was a respect thing. He talked down to us as fighters despite the work we've done for them.'"

THQ and Yuke's, most famous for their wrestling game collaborations, are bringing the fight to your house with UFC 2009 Undisputed. The game will be on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and some of the UFC's greatest got their hands on the game at a recent press junket.

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson told reporters he wants to "praise God" for being in a game. Apparently he's not kidding, as his trainer said Jackson is gaming whenever he isn't training. He blew quickly through Grand Theft Auto IV with a pretty high completion rating from what we hear. Jackson said a college roommate estimates the UFC star spent 14 hours a day gaming.

Richard Garriot, the executive producer of NCsoft and creator of the Massively Multiplayer (and massively popular) Ultima Online, has criticised the genre for becoming stagnant, claiming that MMO design has adopted elements akin to "whack-a-mole" games and data management in favour of innovative design.

"Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to participate in a conference call with a few dudes from Fall Line Studio, developers of the just-released Ultimate Band for the Wii and DS. Tim Huntsman (senior producer), Mark McArthur (development director), and Mike Thompson (art director) fielded questions posed by us media types in a James Lipton-style interview presented by Access Communications.

The good questions, obviously, were submitted by me, but I want to apologize for the woman at the end who was rude and unprofessionally douche-like. Yes, it is possible to be professionally douche-like, so shut up.

There is also an occasional beepy-boop noise that I'm assuming is people joining the call, but that was totally not my computer making the noise so whatev. And after re-reading all of the stuff that I just wrote, I realize that deep down inside I am apparently a valley-girl."
